About the Story

Psalm for the Damned follows Vinnie, a young Italian-American in 1911 Hell’s Kitchen whose life collapses in a burst of blood and betrayal. In death, he becomes something far worse — and far more tragic. Torn between hunger and conscience, feared and despised by those among whom he must live, and haunted by those he failed to save, Vinnie walks the thin line between monster and man.
